Originally from Hungary, NorB (Norbi Szakács) is a DJ and producer whose musical universe moves mainly between Progressive House, Melodic House and deeper, more hypnotic sounds. Passionate about electronic music since childhood, he grew up with Trance before gradually discovering Progressive, Melodic and Deep House, while also developing a strong interest in Breakbeat.
He began producing music in the early 2020s and quickly gained attention through his collaboration with Canadian artist and vocalist juSt b. Their first project together, Different Places, was released in 2022 on John Digweed’s legendary Bedrock Records and later appeared on several Bedrock compilations.
Their collaboration continued with At This Moment, including a remix by Henry Saiz featured on Balance 032, followed by releases on labels such as ICONYC, Stellar Fountain and Stripped Digital. In 2025, NorB also joined Sound Avenue with his solo project Dharma / Ananda.
Alongside his productions, NorB developed STATIC FIELDS, his radio and musical concept dedicated to deep and hypnotic soundscapes, moving through Progressive, Deep & Hypnotic Techno, Breaks and Melodic Techno. The show is now broadcast on several international electronic music radio stations, including DI.FM, Afterhours FM and XBEAT.
NorB approaches music as a journey: deep, evolving, melodic and distinctly atmospheric.
