Passionate about electronic music since the early 1990s, Dave Nico began DJing in 2000 after buying his first pair of Technics 1210s. Countless hours spent perfecting the art of vinyl mixing soon led him to perform in clubs around his local area.
Initially influenced by Trance and artists such as Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond, Dave’s musical direction gradually evolved towards Progressive House, before embracing deeper sounds blending Deep Progressive House and Techno.
In 2020, together with Steve Adams (Land Mammal), he launched the Tribu’ Sessions show on Saturo Sounds. Following Steve’s departure at the end of 2023, Dave continued the journey on his own, always driven by his passion for discovering new music and emerging artists.
After his first Guest Mix on XBEAT, Dave Nico became an XBEAT resident in 2022. Since then, his UK Show has become part of the station’s Progressive universe, delivering carefully selected sounds from labels including Mango Alley, Movement Recordings, Balkan Connection, Meanwhile, Droid9, Soundteller, Massive Harmony Records and AH Digital.
Dave Nico — deep, progressive sounds with a distinctly British touch, on XBEAT.
