Founded in the UK in 1996 by Jamie Odell, better known as Jimpster, and Tom Roberts, Freerange Records has become one of the most respected independent labels on the international Deep House scene. Originally created as a platform for Jimpster’s productions, Freerange gradually developed a distinctive musical identity blending Deep House, House, Soul, Jazz and electronic influences, always with a strong focus on depth, warmth and production quality. Over the years, the label has welcomed an impressive roster of artists including Jimpster, Shur-I-Kan, Milton Jackson, Manuel Tur, Pezzner, Lovebirds, André Lodemann, Dam Swindle, Hyenah, Black Loops, Crackazat, Josh Wink, Aroop Roy and Soul of Hex. The Freerange sound is defined by elegant, deep and timeless House music, often melodic and soulful, equally at home in intimate listening sessions and on the dancefloor. After three decades of releases, Freerange Records remains an essential reference in underground electronic music, constantly evolving while staying true to its distinctive musical identity. In 2026, Freerange Records celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of independent music, artistic discovery and uncompromising Deep House.
